The APEX Control System is the brains behind how the Piranha Chipper processes timber so efficiently and effectively.
Using an intuitive interface with advanced state-of-the-art technology and a tough polycarbonate screen, the BT300 has an operator friendly control panel which is full-colour and easy to use and controls all of the machines functions, while ensuring the ultimate in reliability and long-term functionality.
The Piranha BT300 is fully hydraulic operated including clutch engagement, tailgate raise & lower, discharge chute swivel, winch, and of course the infeed wheels and lift & crush functions, and all of these are controlled through the APEX system.
There is the ability to manually operate the functions as required and these are done via ultra-reliable capacitive-touch switches of the highest quality, sourced from one of the worlds-leading manufacturers in Europe. The feed wheel direction switches are also the same style, making the controls for the BT300 extremely simple and user-friendly.
Using modern Multiplexing Technology, this reduces Wiring, Fusing and Relays within the system while ensuring total reliability of the electronics and simplifying the Service and Maintenance requirements. The APEX also has full Data-logging capabilities with inbuilt service interval tracking for early notification of service and machinery maintenance requirements. The HMI provides full machine diagnostics and gives instant diagnostics if there is a engine fault or operating issue such as infeed jamb etc, and gives clear information of how to rectify the fault if required.
The APEX also controls the modern 5.2L Isuzu engine in the BT300 Chipper and monitors the engine load constantly to ensure that the Posi-Arc Auto-feed system is processing timber as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize the need of operator interaction when chipping large and difficult timber.
The APEX Control System is also fully covered by the Piranha 5 year / 3,000 hour warranty to ensure peace of mind and user confidence in our quality, Australian made equipment.
